    Dear Sir or Madam,

I am currently in my second year of a 5-year Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering. In order to complete my course, I have to do a five-month work placement abroad.

I heard about your firm from ISAB. So I am writing to enquire about the possibility of doing my work placement in one of your departments.

I have also worked in a farm and a school, so I already know what is working and having responsibilities. In addition, I have studied English for ten years and have a reasonable knowledge of the language.

I would welcome the opportunity to gain valuable experience in such a reputable firm as yours, and contribute to its future development. I will be available for work at the beginning of July.

I thank you in advance for considering my placement request. If you require any further information, you can contact me at the above address or number.

    Your faithfully.

    Emmanuel Six
